Join our Spring ’25 Night program—a comprehensive 20-week curriculum under the Apprenticeship Model—and begin your journey toward a fulfilling future in the natural hair industry.
Curriculum Highlights
- Apprenticeship Model: 7.5 weeks online + 7.5 weeks of supervised in-salon training, offering a blended learning experience.
- 300 Hours of Instruction: Complete the necessary hours to prepare for licensure, covering both theory and practical skills.
- Natural Hair Care Techniques: Master braiding, extensions, twisting, weaving, locking, and more under the guidance of experienced instructors.
- Scalp Health & Hair Retention: Learn specialized treatments focused on maintaining healthy hair and preventing hair loss.
- Hands-On Salon Experience: Practice real-world scenarios to build confidence, professionalism, and technical expertise.
- Program Scope & Limitations: Gain proficiency in styling and natural hair methods; note that chemical services like dyeing or chemically altering hair structure are not included.

PHASE I: THEORY OF NATURAL HAIR STYLING
During this phase, students are introduced to theory and modern practical hairstyling to ensure that students have a strong training. Our curriculum includes:

PHASE 2: PRACTICE OF NATURAL HAIR STYLING
Through demonstration and practical work on mannequins, PHASE 2 covers State Board essentials and classic IOBTN techniques. Students demonstrate their knowledge of practical application and theory before transitioning into the salon environment.
PHASE 3: APPLICATION OF NATURAL HAIR STYLING
Students continue to evolve their skills in hair care and styling. They take their skills into a salon environment supervised by a veteran licensed stylist to practice learned techniques on live models/clients.
